Have you ever left the house without having a look in the mirror? Self-obsession exists in everybody on different magnitudes and it is nothing to hide or to be conscious about.
When you look good, you do good!
It’s similar to the reasoning that follows the fact that when you’re in good health when you’re feeling good, you can run a race better than how it would result if you were sick.
Why do people always look better in pictures?
Because you always prepare yourself for a picture, you make sure that you’re looking good for the memory that you’re about to create! Or, why do the models on the rampway are so confident, because they get ready before it, they make sure they’re looking good, which helps them do the walk at a single shot
Ever saw the actors, dancers or speakers before going onto the stage? They all take a look in the mirror, go for touch-ups, check their clothes to make sure that everything is in order because they’re not gonna have those moments again. They have to get it right and their looks give them the confidence to make sure that they do get it right.
The same mentality can be applied to your workouts. What you wear, how you look, how you carry yourself makes a lot of difference in how you perform at the gym. Comfort is necessary but not at the cost of those baggy clothes which makes you look funny or that messy bun which keeps giving out stray hair. Put in those extra 5 minutes to get ready before your workout. Prefer clothes that fit better and are still comfortable, that’s what the athletic materials were made for. If you look good, you will feel good, more confident, and more motivated. It will boost up your energy, focus, and attention to detail which is a must for better results.
Paying constant attention to how you look will make you notice the changes that are taking place in your body which will make you feel even better as you’ll come to realize that the hard work which you’ve been putting in has been working. This will even help you to track your progress with visual support as you will learn to remember those observations every day.
So, the next time you’re hitting the gym or going for any other form of exercise or sport, pay close attention to your looks. 5 minutes won’t delay any of your life-changing plans but those 5 minutes will surely give you the confidence to take up the task with improved efficiency and this will be proven by the improved results which you will start observing!
