Beat the Intimidation
We’ve always heard about the intimidation that people face when they start out for their fitness journey. It’s always weird in the beginning. If you join a gym, it’s uncomfortable going there alone. If you pick outdoor jogging or running, you’ll probably get those stares from strangers and it will end up being an awkward experience for you. It is important to know that you’re not alone and that it is okay. You don’t have to give up because you felt awkward doing it the first. Don’t forget that you fell down plenty of times when you first learned how to walk. It is all part of the process. If it bothers you so much, you can try ways to make yourself comfortable. Wear something to the gym which boosts up your confidence, an outfit can work miracles if you let it. Use earphones while you go to the gym or for your jog, lose yourself into the music of your choice. It won’t change the surrounding of your physical self but it will alter the surroundings of your mind. Take 10 deep breaths before entering that space of mind, it helps you relax and revert your focus to what’s important and those are your goals. The more you look at what are doing it for, the less the other things will bother you. It is all about how much you force your mind into focusing on the goals and not the intimidation of the process. The beginning is always awkward because there’s fear and nervousness, but that’s something that should be overcome. It isn’t what will lead you off the track. Keep your mind on your goals, no matter what!
